It interferes with the gameplay greatly.. The only way to be able to play again is to turn off the system and reload the last save file
Awww... That kinda sucks! Do you go into a shouting rage when the machine turns off, just accept it and restart it, start cursing under your breath, or what? Me... I'd prolly throw the controller on the ground in rage.

When it happens I pretty much just sigh, accept it, and restart. I save very frequently, pretty much every single time I move to a new room in a dungeon or get a semi-significant item in town. It only takes three quick button presses, so it's worth it to take preventive measures

This is very similar to what happens (around 22 seconds into the video), sound and all, but instead of sinking into the ground our Link flies up, his polygons go all over the place and quickly disappear...
